If you’re a regular reader of my blog then you’ll know that I make the majority of my income through affiliate marketing but I also get a lot of people asking me about Google Adsense and whether I make any money from it.
And the answer is yes I do make money with adsense and today in this dead simple video guide I’m going to show you EXACTLY how you can do it too.
Here’s what you are going to learn in this guide:
And I’m going to show you how to do all of these things in just five dead simple steps.
PLUS as I often do I’m even going to show you one of my actual adsense niche sites that not only ranks in Google on page #1 for it’s targeted keyword… but that makes me autopilot income through Google Adsense each and every month.
So are you ready to make some money with adsense? Check it out…
So what the hell are ‘rich snippets’ and why should you to add them to your sites?
Well adding rich snippets to your site allows you to make your site really POP in the search engines by adding graphics to your sites listing in Google including things like your Google+ profile image, review ratings, product prices and more:
These all help to make your site stand out in the search engines which means that more people will click on your site and ultimately… you’ll make more money!
And the really cool thing is that adding eye catching rich snippets to WordPress is EXTREMELY easy and fast. In fact it only takes a few minutes to set up and considering just how much more pimping it makes your site look in the search engines it’s totally worth it.
So to walk you through the process of adding rich snippets to your WordPress sites I’ve put together this short video where I’ll show you exactly how to do it… enjoy!
If you’d rather a written guide to adding rich snippets to your sites then you’ll find it below. There are two types of rich snippets that we want to setup:
Setting up Google+ authorship just means that we’ll be linking our website to our Google+ account so that our Google+ profile pic can appear in the search engines next to our site.
And to do this we first need to install a WordPress plugin called ‘WordPress SEO by Yoast’.
So login to your WordPress control Panel and then head over to ‘Plugins’ and then ‘Add New’ and search for ‘WordPress SEO by Yoast’:
Then install and active the plugin.
Next you want to head over to the ‘Users’ section and then click ‘Your Profile’:
Then from here you want to paste your Google+ profile link into the ‘Google+’ box:
Then click the ‘Update Profile’ button:
Then there’s one more quick thing that we need to do to finish implementing Google+ authorship to our site.
So next log into your Google+ account and then head on over to the ‘Profile’ section and then the ‘About’ section:
And finally add your website link to the ‘contributor’ section:
And now your authorship is all set up and your Google+ profile picture can start appearing in the search engines next to your site.
However it’s worth noting that your profile picture wont start appearing straight away and even when it does appear it’ll only show certain times… but to test that it’s working correctly we can use a Google tool called the ‘Structured Data Testing Tool’ which you can find here.
So just go to the tool and enter in your website address and then click the ‘Preview’ button:
And if your image appears next to your site (as shown above) then it means that it’s set up correctly!
Once you’ve added your Google+ authorship rich snippet then next thing we want to do is add some other types of rich snippets to your site.
These can include things like review ratings, product prices and more.
And to do this we simply need to install a WordPress plugin called ‘All In One Schema.org Rich Snippets’.
So head on over to your WordPress control Panel and then head to the ‘Plugins’ section and click ‘Add New’ and then search for ‘All In One Schema’:
Then you want to install and activate this plugin.
Once you have done this you’ll see a brand new rich snippet section whenever you go to make a new blog post (or to edit and old one) where you can add your rich snippet details that looks like this:
Once you have updated or published that post a new box will appear at the bottom of that post with your rich snippet details for Google to see.
Here’s an example of a rich snippet that I added to a recent post I made on this blog where I reviewed a tool called FPTraffic:
And here’s what that rich snippet looks like when I preview it with the structured data testing tool:
And that’s all there is to it… now go and add rich snippets to your sites!
I’ve been preaching for a long time now that the key to ranking in Google is all about those high quality backlinks.
So many times I’ve been able to easily outrank websites that have hundreds of crappy and low quality backlinks with just a handful of high quality backlinks that it’s ridiculous and if you’re looking for a top ranking then I strongly recommend that you do the same.
And to help you out I’ve put together a simple video where I’m going to show you a really simple way to build high quality and obscenely powerful backlinks… check it out!
As you’ll see in the video the strategy revolves all around making sure that you don’t build links on orphan pages (which are pages that are stranded in the middle of nowhere with no other links pointing towards them).
By using the technique that lay out for you in this video you’ll be able to make sure that every page that you build a backlink on has dozens or even hundreds of other pages linking to it which will in turn flow an incredible amount of link juice through to that page which will then make your backlink… well obscenely powerful.
PS. How cool is the word obscenely?
Lately I’ve been getting more and more into video marketing and specifically making money with YouTube.
YouTube is now the third most visited website in the WORLD and is the second most popular search engine… only behind Google.
But you don’t have to be some kind of YouTube celebrity with millions of subscribers to make some decent money from the tube… in fact not even close to it.
To find out how you can start banking big time on YouTube just watch the short video below where I show you just how easily you can make some serious dough by creating niche videos and uploading them to YouTube.
So it’s been a couple of months since I last updated my SEO case study but I’ve been getting a lot of questions and emails about it so here’s another update for everyone that’s following along!
If you haven’t already checked out the first four parts of the case study then I recommend starting at part one so that you can see what I’ve done so far to build up a profitable website from scratch.
I haven’t had a huge amount of time to dedicate to WineAeratorWorld.com over the last couple of months due to being extremely busy with other projects but despite being slack the site is continuing to steadily increase in sales, traffic and rankings in the search engines… and that’s what I love about building profitable SEO sites – once they’re up and earning you can go away from it for months at a time and they will still sit there making you money on autopilot.
Update: This case study was done a while ago now and I ended up giving the site in the case study away to the winner of a competition who failed to renew the domain (despite it making money!). So even though all of the strategy is still here along with screenshots and all that jazz you wont be able to visit the actual site anymore!
So here is what I’ve done since I last updated…
Since my last update I’ve added a total of eight new products to the site:
You’ll notice I’ve started to expand into some other closely related wine products like wine decanters and stands. I’ve made my way through many of the top searched aerators so have decided to move onto some other untapped wine products that get a decent amount of searches.
I’ve also added some Adsense to make some extra income alongside Amazon:
It’s only been up for a few days now but has already made a few extra bucks and compliments the Amazon products well.
Naturally I’ve also been building some more backlinks on various authority websites:
As can be seen in the traffic stats below the site has increased in visitors every month so far. The site is now just over 6 months old but is getting a regular stream of traffic from the search engines for all sorts of keywords:
The site continues to do well in the search engines and since my last update has started to rank really highly for a lot of different keywords.
At the time of writing this the site is currently sitting on page #1 for ‘Wine Aerators’:
And on page #2 for the keyword ‘Wine Aerator’:
It’s also currently ranking in the #2 spot for ‘Best Wine Aerator’:
And is comfortably sitting in high positions for many of the product keywords:
Since the last update the site has also made a whole bunch of new sales for various products through the Amazon affiliate program and it’s been steadily increasing month after month:
If you’ve been following the case study from the very beginning then you should have a pretty good idea now as to how you can set up simple but profitable niche website.
And whilst I’d love to continue this case study far into the future the truth is I just have too many other projects going on at the moment.
So instead I’ve decided to do something a bit crazy….
I’m going to give away WineAeratorWorld.com to one lucky blog reader!
I would absolutely love to make someone’s day and to help them kick start their affiliate marketing career – and what better way to do this than by giving away an already established and profitable website that they can build upon.
All of the hard work has been done for you. You’ll just need to focus on adding more content, building more backlinks and growing it like a motherfucker!
I’ll be sending out an email with full details of the competition to all of my newsletter subscribers next Wednesday the 12th of September so if you’re not already on the list make sure you get on there now.
[UPDATE: Competition has ended and the site has been given away.]
